Registration FAQs

I’m new to FamilyID.  Do I create a login in my name or my child’s name?

Create the login for yourself.  You will add family members (i.e. your student-athlete) through the registration form, which allows you to manage multiple student-athletes via the one FamilyID account.

 

I don’t remember my FamilyID log-in.  How do I look it up?

Contact the registrar by clicking the link at the bottom of this page or use FamilyID’s online help features.

 

If my student-athlete doesn’t make the team, can they try out for an additional sport?

Yes. Student-athletes may try out for as many sports as they wish.  Each student-athlete must be registered for that sport to try out, so be sure to select each sport for which your athlete might try out on their registration form.  We can not guarantee that changes will be accommodated after the registration window closes.

 

Is it possible to play multiple sports during the same season?

Yes. While it is a significant time commitment, it is possible to play multiple sports with the permission of both coaches.  Please note that if your student-athlete is rostered to multiple MRMABC-sponsored teams, you will be charged a sports fee for each team

 

I don’t have a completed physical form.  Can I submit the registration form and attach the physical later?

No, we require a completed, valid physical form at the time of registration.

 

I need to have my provider fill out the NCHSAA PPE form, but they don’t have any appointments before the registration deadline.  What can I do?

Most providers will complete the NCHSAA PPE form based upon your child’s most recent physical exam, which can establish eligibility for 395 days from the exam date, without an appointment.  Alternatively, many parents opt for a “sports physical” performed at a retail location like a CVS

 

I just moved to the Marvin Ridge cluster from another state.  Will you accept a physical from an out-of-state provider?

Yes.  Any provider can complete the NCHSAA PPE form.  Please note though we cannot accept other states' forms.

 

How do I make changes to my registration after I submit it?

FamilyID allows you to make changes after you submit a registration.  You can access their help page here

 

I’m registering multiple student-athletes during the late registration window.  Do I have to pay a late fee for each student-athlete?

No.  The late fee is $200 per family, however technical limitations prevent us from applying that discount automatically.  Please contact the registrar for a an applicable refund.

 

I paid a late fee but my student-athlete did not make a team.  Can I get a refund?

Yes, we will refund the late registration fee if your student-athlete is not rostered.  You must contact the registrar to complete this refund.

 

How do I find out if my registration is approved?

You will receive an approval message from FamilyID to the email used to register your student-athlete, or you can log-in to FamilyID to review the status.  Please note that during high volume periods, it may take up to a week for us to process your registration.

 

I missed the registration window.  Are there any exceptions?

We will allow registrations after the window closes ONLY for student-athletes that move into the Marvin Ridge cluster after the registration window.  No other exceptions.
