Thank you so much to everyone that came out for MRMS Basketball Cheerleading Tryouts.  You have all worked hard and this is a difficult process.  We are proud of each and every potential candidate and you should be proud of yourselves.  The results are below.  As a reminder, results are final.  If you would like feedback, please wait at least 24 hours to contact the Coach or Athletic Director and please do not expect a response before Friday, 10/27 at the earliest.

Tryouts for 7th and 8th graders Only for MRMS Basketball Cheer will be held in the MRMS Aux Gym on Monday, October 23rd from 4:15pm – 5:30pm and Tuesday, October 24th, starting at 4:15pm.

Tryout material will be sent on Friday, October 20, 2023 by 5pm via e-mail to those who are registered.

Tryout Attire for each day is a plain white t-shirt with sleeves; navy, royal, black, or orange Soffe or athletic shorts; cheer shoes or white sneakers; hair in a high ponytail.  NO MS, HS, College, or Allstar logos on anything is permitted.  NO jewelry.  Bows are Optional, but may have NO logos on them either.  If the students are not in proper attire, they will NOT be permitted to tryout.

Tryouts will be based on a Cheer, Chant, and Dance which will be sent on Friday, October 20th by 5pm, and a Toe Touch Jump.  Students will need to learn the material by Monday, October 23rd and be prepared to tryout in front of the judges on Tuesday, October 24th.  Monday will be a Tryout Clinic where the students will be reviewing the learned material and can ask questions and practice everything to prepare for Tuesday, which is the actual Tryout.  The students are free to leave as soon as they finish trying out on Tuesday.

The Final Roster will be listed by Tryout numbers and posted on this page and emailed on Tuesday, October 24th by 9pm.

For those cheerleaders who make the team, there will be a uniform fitting afterschool on Wednesday, October 25th until about 5pm.  Only those Cheerleaders who are Not currently Cheering for football need to attend.
